A coating that
outlives the car.

Our permanent ceramic coating bonds chemically to your clear coat instead of sitting on top of it, so it does not wash off, burn off, or wear away like wax. We bring the whole setup to your driveway in Fayetteville and leave behind a mirror finish built for Carolina sun and coastal salt air.

What unprotected paint is up against

Your clear coat is losing, slowly.

Factory clear coat is thinner than a sheet of paper and it is the only thing standing between your colour and everything below. In Fayetteville it takes a beating from four directions at once.

Carolina UV

Summer sun bakes the pigment under the clear. Reds go pink, blacks go grey, and the finish turns chalky. Once oxidation reaches the base coat, polishing cannot bring it back.

Coastal salt air

Salt does not stay at the beach. It rides the humidity inland, settles into every seam and panel gap, and speeds up oxidation on paint and corrosion on everything behind it.

Bug guts and bird droppings

Both are acidic. Left on hot paint through a Carolina afternoon they etch a permanent crater into the clear coat, and no wash will lift it back out.

Swirls from bad washes

Tunnel washes, dirty sponges and one-bucket rinses drag grit across the paint. The result is a spiderweb of fine scratches that only shows up in direct sun, and it shows up on every car eventually.

Plain English

What a ceramic coating actually is.

A ceramic coating is a liquid glass. It is a silica based resin that goes on wet, flashes off, and cures into a hard transparent layer that is chemically bonded to your factory clear coat. It is not a polish, it is not a wax, and it is not something you top up every few months.

The easiest way to picture it: your paint currently has a soft, porous surface that grabs and holds everything that lands on it. A coating replaces that surface with a dense, slick one that contaminants cannot get a grip on. Nothing about the colour changes. Everything about how the paint behaves changes.

  • Your paint, from the metal out

Primer, then base coat for colour, then clear coat on top. The clear is the only layer doing any protecting, and it is measured in microns.

  • What wax does

Sits on top of the clear as a soft sacrificial film. It looks great for a few weeks, then heat, detergent and rain strip it back off.

  • What the coating does

Bonds into the clear coat and cures hard, adding a real sacrificial layer that takes the UV, the salt, the bug acid and the wash marks instead of your paint.

The difference that matters

Certified installer. Permanent system.

Anyone can buy a bottle of coating online. Very few are certified to install the NanoPros permanent system, and the certification is the part that protects you.

Certified means trained

Certification is not a sticker. It means the installer has been trained and approved by NanoPros on prep standards, application technique and cure control, and is accountable to them for the result.

Permanent means bonded

A consumer coating is sacrificial, so it wears away and you buy it again. A permanent coating bonds into the clear coat and stays there. You pay for the protection once instead of every couple of years.

Installed to spec, not to the clock

The system only performs if the paint is surgically clean and the coating is allowed to cure undisturbed. We build both into the schedule instead of rushing a car back to you wet.

See it for yourself

Drag the slider.

Left is a daily driver after a normal wash. Right is the same panel corrected and coated. Nothing here is a filter or a wet-look dressing, it is what the paint does once the surface is right.

After

What's included

Six stages. No shortcuts.

Most of a coating job is not the coating. It is everything that has to happen before the coating is allowed to touch the paint.

01 · Decon wash

Strip it back to bare paint.

Foam pre-soak, two-bucket contact wash, wheels and jambs, then iron remover and tar solvent to pull out the embedded contamination a wash leaves behind.

02 · Clay

Shear off what is still stuck.

Clay bar or clay towel with lubricant across every painted surface. Run your hand over the paint afterwards and it goes from gritty to glass.

03 · Paint correction

Remove the defects, not hide them.

Machine polishing under inspection light until each panel reads clean, with paint depth measured so we never thin the clear coat. This is where the gloss actually comes from.

04 · Panel wipe

Remove every trace of polishing oil.

A dedicated solvent wipe on every panel. Skip this and the coating bonds to residue instead of clear coat, which is exactly how coatings fail early.

05 · Coating

Apply the NanoPros system.

Applied panel by panel in a controlled cross-hatch, levelled at the right flash time, then checked under light for high spots before we move on.

06 · Cure and QC

Let it harden, then inspect.

The coating cures undisturbed and dry, then we walk the whole car with you under lights before you drive it. You get the aftercare rules in writing.

What you get out of it

Paint that cleans itself.

A coating is not a look you buy once. It changes what owning the car feels like every week.

Depth and gloss

The coating fills the microscopic texture in the clear coat, so light reflects cleanly instead of scattering. That is what reads to your eye as depth. Dark colours gain the most.

Hydrophobic beading

Water cannot lie flat on a coated surface, so it pulls into tight beads and rolls off, dragging dust and road film with it. A hard rain does most of a wash for you.

Washing gets easy

Dirt sits on the coating instead of keying into the paint, so it releases with far less contact. Less contact means fewer wash marks, which means the finish stays right.

UV and heat resistance

The coating takes the ultraviolet hit that would otherwise reach your pigment, which is the difference between paint that holds its colour and paint that goes flat and chalky.

Chemical and etch resistance

Bird droppings, bug acid, tree sap and hard water all attack the surface. On a coated car they attack the coating first, which buys you the time to simply rinse them off.

Resale value protected

Paint condition is the first thing a buyer or an appraiser reads. A car whose finish still looks new after years of Carolina weather is worth more, and it is easier to sell.

Rain does most of the washing.

Built for Carolina

Salt air and summer sun don't get a vote.

Fayetteville sits close enough to the coast that salt rides inland on the humidity, and far enough south that paint spends half the year under punishing UV. Add pollen season, sudden downpours, hard well water and the road film off I-95 and you have a climate that ages a factory finish fast.

We chose this permanent system specifically because it stands up to those conditions, and we apply it in an environment controlled enough to actually let it cure correctly. That is the whole difference between a coating that lasts and one that quietly stops working after a summer.

★★★★★

The guys over at Diamond Image completely transformed my car. My BMW M4 had multiple layers of swirls and scratches. They removed them and gave the car that showroom quality you expect from a 5-star detailer. The 2-stage correction and ceramic coating were worth every dollar. I made the right choice with them.

Straight answers

Ceramic coating questions.

The eight things people actually ask us before booking. If yours is not here, call or text 910-322-2400.

How long does a ceramic coating last?

The NanoPros system we install is a permanent coating, not a sacrificial one. It bonds chemically to the clear coat instead of sitting on top of it, so it does not wash off or wear away the way a wax or a sealant does. What changes over time is how it is cared for, which is why aftercare matters more than reapplication. {{TBD: confirm the published warranty terms, length and transferability before this page goes live.}}

How is ceramic coating different from wax or a paint sealant?

Wax and sealant sit on the surface as a soft layer and break down with heat, detergent and rain. A ceramic coating forms a hard, chemically bonded layer with the clear coat. The practical difference is that wax makes paint look good for a while, and a coating changes how the paint behaves permanently: water sheets off, contaminants struggle to stick, and washing gets dramatically easier.

Can you apply the coating at my house?

Yes. Diamond Image Detail is fully mobile. We arrive with our own water, power and inspection lighting and work in your driveway, carport, garage or office lot across Fayetteville, Hope Mills, Raeford, Spring Lake, Sanford, Southern Pines and Fort Liberty. A garage or covered space is ideal for the coating and cure stage, but it is not required. We plan around the weather.

How long does a ceramic coating job take?

It depends on the size of the vehicle and the condition of the paint. Prep and correction take the bulk of the time. The coating itself goes on quickly, and then the surface needs an undisturbed cure window before the car is driven or washed. We give you an exact schedule with your quote so you know what your day looks like. {{TBD: confirm typical turnaround by package so we can publish a real range.}}

Does a ceramic coating remove scratches and swirl marks?

No. A coating is clear, so it magnifies whatever is underneath it. Scratches and swirls have to be machine polished out first, which is why paint correction is part of the coating process rather than an upsell. Coating over defects locks them in permanently, and no reputable installer will do it.

When can the car get wet after it is coated?

The coating needs an undisturbed cure window before it sees water, and a slightly longer window before its first real wash. We tell you exactly when you are clear on both, in writing, before we leave. {{TBD: confirm the cure window before water contact and before the first wash.}}

How do I wash a ceramic coated car?

Two buckets, a pH neutral soap, a clean microfibre mitt, and a dry with a soft towel or a blower. Skip automatic brush washes, skip harsh degreasers, and rinse bug and bird contamination off the same day you notice it. That is the whole routine. A coated car takes far less effort to wash than an uncoated one because dirt has very little to hold onto.

Do you coat wheels, glass and trim as well as paint?

We can. Coated wheels release brake dust far more easily, coated glass sheds rain and improves visibility in a Carolina downpour, and coated trim resists the grey fade that plastic gets in the sun. Tell us what you want covered when you request a quote and we will price the vehicle accordingly.
